OBSCURA have redefined technical and progressive death metal since their formation in 2002 by Steffen Kummerer. Their new release A Sonication (2025, Nuclear Blast) marks the second part of a trilogy and reflects OBSCURA’s most advanced, elegant, and forward-thinking work to date.
