About Mick Flannery

Mick Flannery is one of Ireland’s most prominent singer-songwriters. His music spans folk, Americana and contemporary songwriting, and is characterised by a distinctive voice, precise characterisation and a keen sense of the contradictions inherent in human relationships.

The multi-award-winning musician has released seven studio albums, four of which reached number one in the Irish charts. His successes include double platinum awards and the 2021 duet album In the Game with Susan O’Neill. The album was nominated for the Choice Music Prize and was the best-selling independent album of the year in Ireland.

In 2023, Flannery released Goodtime Charlie on John Prine’s label, Oh Boy Records, where he became the first international artist to be signed.

With The House Must Win in 2026, Flannery added a new dimension to his storytelling. The musical, produced in collaboration with Liam Robinson, enjoyed a five-week run of completely sold-out performances in Dublin and Cork. The stage production gave rise to an album of the same name, featuring guest appearances by Anaïs Mitchell, Jeffrey Martin and Lisa Hannigan. The project highlights Flannery’s ability to bring complex stories and characters to life across different artistic formats.
