About Clawfinger
CLAWFINGER is one of Europe’s most influential crossover and alternative metal bands. With its Scandinavian roots, the band has been shaping a sound since the early 1990s that blends heavy guitar riffs, industrial elements, rap-inspired directness, and socially critical lyrics into a distinctive musical language.
CLAWFINGER first attracted international attention with their debut album Deaf Dumb Blind and established themselves as an uncompromising voice at the intersection of alternative metal, rap metal, and industrial rock. This was followed by seminal releases such as Use Your Brain and A Whole Lot of Nothing, with which the band further solidified its reputation as an energetic, politically outspoken live act.
Lyrically, CLAWFINGER have always been known for speaking their minds. Racism, political hypocrisy, social inequality, drug policy, environmental destruction, and societal self-delusion are among the topics the band tackles with force. In doing so, CLAWFINGER strike a rare balance: their music is angry and dark, yet at the same time incisive, direct, and laced with a raw sense of humor.
Even in their current phase, the band remains true to their edgy approach. A new album has not yet been confirmed, but their creative energy and unbroken live presence show that CLAWFINGER are still at their strongest where attitude, intensity, and the audience collide directly: on stage
